They are all reasonably priced and pretty much never have to be replaced. Of course, their design may become better with time. There are many different brands of the pimple extractor tool. Some are cheaper than others and some work better than others. The Tweezerman extractor gets rave reviews. However, the only way to tell is, by trying one out for yourself.

Popping Pimples with the Extractor Tool Steps

  • First, disinfect the ends of the extractor with rubbing alcohol, rinse the tool off and then dry it completely.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly with antibacterial soap. Wash your hands for about thirty seconds to kill all the germs. Then wash your face with a gentle facial wash for about thirty seconds.
  • Use the large metal loop for large whiteheads and the small loop for small pimples or blackheads. Gently press the loop over the pimple’s head until you pop the pimple and puss comes out, stop when you see blood. Do not press down too hard or you could cause scarring or infection.
  • Splash your face with water again and hold a tissue against the pimple until it stops bleeding. Apply acne medication to the pimple to heal it. And disinfect the extractor tool again with rubbing alcohol and keep in a dry clean place.

Using an extractor works well and often times better than your fingers for blackheads. If you are having trouble removing blackheads, why not see if an extractor will work for you. Steaming your face with water beforehand can help open your pores, making the blackhead removal process easier. Popping blackheads with an extractor requires the same gentle rules. Do not press to hard or you could cause more infection.

Some people will find they do not care for the extractor tool at all. Keep in mind however, that using the acne extractor may take some getting use to. Some people like using a disinfected needle to gently prick the head of the whitehead and then use the finger popping pimple method. An pimple extractor may not work well for very stubborn blackheads. In that case pop pimples with your fingers and or try acne treatments.
